This article is dedicated to our home — Lake Mladost. I say home because this is the place where we played as children, grew up, socialized, and had fun. It’s a place that remains our first choice for a easy walk, where coffee tastes the sweetest, and where time spent with friends lasts the longest.

As two locals from Veles, it’s our duty to promote its beauty, so today, we’re revealing three secret spots where you can capture the best views of the lake.

Our little secret spot offers a completely new perspective of the lake, where you’ll undoubtedly enjoy the peace and tranquility of nature. Start from the first beach, on the left side of the road, and from there, climb up to the given coordinates. Luckily, the trail is short, and it won’t take much time to reach it. From here, you’ll have a view of a magical sunset.

You’ll find this spot on the side of Otovitsa. You can reach it on foot via a paved path, right after Hotel Romantique, or from the back, passing under the highway near Otovitsa and heading left towards the lake. There’s the possibility of camping with a small tent, but be discreet as this spot is known for day hikes.

Located along the old road from Veles to Skopje, this spot offers an unforgettable view of the lake and the surrounding landscape from a distance. It’s a great location if you want to spend the night in a vehicle or have a picnic with a view🚙. .

The trail around the lake is 6 km long, and besides walking, you can bring a SUP board, kayak, or windsurf with you, as the conditions are excellent for these activities. We will also be delighted if you came prepared for camping and found a hidden corner, but don’t forget to leave the place as you found it. After all, this is our home, and we like it clean. You might visit once, but we’re there regularly.
